Lingering shadows broken
By piercing shards of light
Crashing against the frozen landscape
In a shattering silence
Yet a timeless chill
Moves swiftly
Stings sharply
Burns deeply
Ebbing with the light
Flowing with the shadows
Until an imperfect froth of hope
Clings to the shores of the horizon
I reach for the door
If only for a moment
And embrace the beautiful surrender
Of a path unknown

First post of the New Year! The break from posting photos every day has felt pretty good, but after spending some time redesigning my website (with the help of an awesome art director), and more recently, some time in St. John, I’m happy to start posting again.
